Tuesday will see the launch of The Legendary Hunt, a limited-time event that will run for two weeks. One of the innovations will be the Apex Elite mode, a kind of ranked mode, where those who make it to the top five in the next match meet only with players who have achieved the same result.
There will also be limited-time challenges that will award rare, epic, and legendary skins, but it's not clear if they're related to this mode. At the same time, Respawn will hold a “Double XP Weekend” from June 7 to 10 and will give out one level of the battle pass once a day for getting into the top five.
Battle Pass owners are waiting for unique gifts. All those who buy it during the first season will find in their inventory the legendary Honored Prey skin for the R-301 assault rifle. And those who have reached level 15 will be able to try on the legendary Night Terror skin for Wraith.
Now to the news about the second season of Apex Legends. The first battle pass, as you know, turned out to be poor in content, and it takes too long to pump it. In the future, this will change, including by adding daily and weekly challenges, like in Fortnite, and reducing the required amount of experience earned.
The list of legendary items will be replenished with three skins, now they can be unlocked at levels 1, 25, 50, 75 and 100. Emblems and profile statistics will no longer be included in the paid version of the pass, and materials for crafting items will be issued instead of replicas. There will be enough of them to make any "legendary" of your choice. Only three new categories of prizes that will replace the disappeared junk remain a mystery, but this will not be told in full details until June 8th.
