Apple and Foxconn admit they relied too much on temporary workers in China

China Labor Watch has released a detailed report accusing these companies of violating numerous Chinese labor laws. According to one of them, the number of temporary workers should not exceed 10% of the total number of the company's listed staff.

In a statement, Apple said it checked the proportion of temporary workers to its contract partner's total workforce and found that the numbers did "exceed standards." The company said it is now working with Foxconn to resolve the issue.
