Users in the US who ordered Apple's AirPods wireless headphones last week on the same day they appeared on the company's online store reported over the weekend that they had received notification that the device would ship in time for March 26.
In turn, some residents of the UK have said on the forums that the novelty will be delivered to them on Monday, March 25, which means that their AirPods may arrive before the start of Apple's "It Showtime" event, which starts today at 10:00 PT (20:00 Moscow time) at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus (Cupertino, California).
Given that the new AirPods model requires operating system versions that Apple has not yet released publicly, their owners will not be able to use the device until late at night.
Second-generation AirPods require compatible Apple devices to run iOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2, and macOS Mojave 10.14.4, and Apple is expected to release these software updates during or shortly after the "It Showtime" event.
