Apple still aims to ship 90 million AirPods in 2020

According to DigiTimes, citing sources in the supply chain environment, despite the difficulties associated with the coronavirus, Apple is still going to ship 2020 million AirPods in 90. By comparison, in 2019, the company was estimated to be able to ship 60 million units of these popular devices.

Back in November last year, Wedbush analyst Dan Ives predicted that sales of various AirPods models would reach 2020-85 million units in 90. By the way, at the end of last year, Apple faced a very high demand for fresh model AirPods Pro with active noise cancellation and, as reported, doubled production from 1 million units per month to 2 million. On the eve of the holidays, those who wish it was difficult to get AirPods Pro in regular retail chains, and on eBay the devices were sold at a significant markup.

Products such as AirPods and Apple Watch have become an increasingly important factor in Apple's success in recent times, amid slowing iPhone sales. Apple does not disclose specific sales figures for its products or separate AirPods revenue into a separate category. But the same analysts from Wedbush believed that AirPods in 2019 brought about 4% of the total revenue to the Cupertino giant.
