Apple has announced a new generation iPad mini tablet: the device is already available for order at an estimated price of $400.
The new product is equipped with a Retina screen with a diagonal of 7,9 inches. This panel has a resolution of 2048 Γ 1536 pixels, and the pixel density reaches 326 points per inch (PPI).
Using the Apple Pencil, users can take notes and draw. However, this stylus will have to be purchased separately - it is not included in the package.
The new product is equipped with a flash drive with a capacity of 64 GB or 256 GB. Depending on the modification, only Wi-Fi wireless communications (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) or Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE cellular communications are supported. In addition, there is an integrated Bluetooth 5.0 controller.
The tablet uses an A12 Bionic processor. There is a FaceTime HD camera with a 7-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel main camera. The audio subsystem includes stereo speakers.
Among other things, it is worth mentioning a three-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, electronic compass, barometer, ambient light sensor and Touch ID sensor for fingerprinting.
Dimensions are 203,2 Γ 134,8 Γ 6,1 mm, weight is approximately 300 grams. The declared battery life on one battery charge reaches 10 hours.
