Bloomberg, citing its own sources, announced changes in the approach to testing updates to the iOS operating system at Apple. The decision was made after a not entirely successful launch
It is noted that the decision was made at one of Apple's recent internal meetings, where the head of the software direction Craig Federighi announced a new approach to releasing test builds. Now inside the daily test builds of the new version of iOS, new, especially unstable features will be disabled. Daring testers will be able to enable them manually in the settings to test their functionality. To do this, a separate “Flags” section will appear in the settings, in which you can switch each experimental function.

It’s hard for testers to understand what exactly doesn’t work and where the bug came from when all the new features are added in each new build, and some are not even mentioned in the changelog. All this eventually led to a crisis in system testing, which resulted in a bad start to iOS 13.
Recall that the launch of iOS 13 was one of the most unsuccessful in the history of Apple in terms of stability and suitability for regular use. Users massively complained about application crashes, slow work and unusual bugs with the interface of some programs. Some of the innovations in iOS 13, such as iCloud folder sharing and music streaming across multiple
It is expected that the new approach to introducing innovations will increase the stability of not only test builds, but also stable versions for all users.
