Apple teaming up with renowned photographer to change the way you look at portrait photography

Christopher Anderson is a member of the international agency Magnum Photos. He is widely known for his photographs taken in the conflict zone.

Anderson has been a contract photographer for National Geographic, Newsweek, and is now the lead photographer for New York Magazine. He also has a lot of experience taking photos with iPhone and iPad.

Anderson's book Capitolio, published in 2011, was the first printed photo monograph adapted for display on the iPad. In 2016 and 2017, Apple showcased portrait shots of him in iPhone image galleries. Anderson also tested the iPhone 7's camera system and was featured on a slide during Apple's presentation.

The renowned photographer will share his photography knowledge with iPhone owners around the world in Disrupting The Portrait sessions as part of the Today at Apple Photo Lab educational series. The session participants will explore creative techniques that "challenge the traditional rules of portraiture."
