Ardor 6.0

New version released Ardor - a free digital recording station. The main changes since version 5.12 are mostly architectural and not always visible to the end user. In general, the application has become more convenient and stable than ever.

Main innovations:

  • End-to-End Delay Compensation.
  • New high quality resampling engine for varispeed playback.
  • Ability to monitor input and playback at the same time (cue monitoring)
  • Ability to record from anywhere in the signal chain
  • Mesh and snap are separated.
  • Improved MIDI handling: no more stuck notes, weird behavior in loops, etc.
  • Added plugin ports management: you can insert new copies (instances) of the plugin, split the signal to feed it to different plugin inputs, etc.
  • It became possible to use different input and output devices when using ALSA as an engine.
  • The PulseAudio engine (for playback only) has appeared.
  • There are foldback monitor bus with full OSC control.
  • Added virtual MIDI keyboard.
  • Added a large number of MIDNAM files.
  • Added MP3 import and export.
  • Added assemblies for ARM 32-/64-bit, declared support for NetBSD, FreeBSD and Open Solaris.
