Major update to free digital audio station released Ardor.
Major changes:
- In MIDI tracks, the widget (scroomer) that controls the scale and visibility of the track contents has been completely rewritten. It now shows the notes (048 C, 049 C#, etc.), or the note names if they are defined in MIDNAM (for example, the names of different drums if a drum sampler plugin is loaded).
- Added a familiar interface for editing the velocity of notes in MIDI areas. In editing mode, βlollipopsβ are dragged up and down; in drawing mode, you can draw an arbitrary automation line (from left to right); with Ctrl pressed, you can draw straight segments (in any direction). In this case, the velocity values ββwill take the value closest to the drawn line. You can join freeform and straight lines by simply pressing and releasing Ctrl.
- The added automation line drawing feature to MIDI applies to any other automation: Gain and Pan curve, plugin parameters, MIDI CC, etc.
- The implementation of parts of the arrangement, which began a couple of releases ago, has been brought to its logical conclusion. There is a new type of Arrangement line that allows you to divide a recording into different parts (for example, intro, verse, chorus, etc.). Through the Arrangement sidebar, these parts can be copied and pasted. The basic idea is borrowed from Studio One.
- Added a Grid tool that allows you to create and edit a tempo map directly on top of tracks: clicking above a bar line creates a new tempo marker, dragging left-right over a bar line changes the tempo value, dragging within a bar (between beat lines) creates a tempo variation ramp). Before this, the same thing was done on the ruler and required switching between two modes of working with the tempo map.
- In the mixer, when selecting several channels, the fast grouping mode is automatically activated. This allows you to quickly change the faders to the same value without creating a permanent group.
- Added the ability to group areas (Ctrl+G) for easy movement.
- Added support for the Novation Launchpad Pro controller. All modes are supported: you can control the non-linear Cue sequencer, play notes and chords, and control the volume in channels using a swipe. In the future, it is planned to support younger models of the Launchpad line.
- Added several arpeggiator plugins.
