The release of the proprietary archiver RAR version 5.90 has taken place. List of changes in the console version:
- Increased RAR compression speed when using processors with 16 or more cores.
- When creating RAR5 archives, the "Fastest" compression method usually provides denser packing of highly compressible data.
(equivalent on the command line - switch -m1) - The maximum number of threads used has been increased from 32 to 64.
The -mt<streams> switch on the command line can have values ββfrom 1 to 64. - Improved recovery of corrupted RAR5 archives containing recovery data and without data offset.
The speed was reduced in RAR version 5.80 and has now been restored to its original level. - Password is not requested when repairing damaged RAR5 archives with encrypted filenames that have recovery data.
You can now run the restore command without specifying a password. - Bugs fixed:
- the "Repair" command could erroneously display a message about corrupted recovery data when processing an archive with correct data ("Recovery record is corrupt").
This message did not prevent further recovery.

Also updated unpacker open source UnRAR up to version 5.9.2.
