Back in January, ASRock launched a new series of motherboards called Steel Legend, and at that time it introduced only two models based on the AMD B450 chipset. Now, this family has included a new board called Z390 Steel Legend, which is also distinguished by increased reliability and is designed to create high-performance gaming systems.
As you might guess, the Z390 Steel Legend motherboard is based on the Intel Z390 system logic and is designed for Intel processors in LGA 1151v2. The novelty received a power subsystem with eight phases and one 8-pin EPS power connector for the processor. A fairly massive aluminum radiator is installed on the power elements of the power circuits.
The new Steel Legend series board has four DDR4 memory slots that support 4266 MHz and higher memory (overclocked, of course). The board is equipped with three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots and a pair of PCIe 3.0 x16. Declared support for AMD CrossFireX bundles. Additionally, the board has an M.2 Key E slot for a Wi-Fi module. And for connecting storage devices, the Z390 Steel Legend has six SATA III ports + two M.2 slots, each of which is equipped with an aluminum heatsink.
The Realtek ALC1220 codec is responsible for the sound in the new product, and the Intel I219V gigabit controller is responsible for network connections. The set of ports on the rear panel of the Z390 Steel Legend includes a pair of USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 ports, DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI video outputs, a network port, a PS / 2 connector and a set of audio connectors. And, of course, since this is a gaming motherboard, it has customizable RGB lighting with Polychrome Sync support, which is profusely adorned on the right side of the board.
Unfortunately, the company has not yet announced the price and start date of sales of the Z390 Steel Legend motherboard.
