ASUS launched the 6Z smartphone for the Indian market, which is largely identical - there is even a rotary camera that can work as a rear and front camera. Features a 6,46-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080) notchless, narrow bezel, 92% screen-to-face ratio, 600 nits, HDR10, and Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Powered by Snapdragon 855 with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and preinstalled Android 9.0 (Pie ) with ZenUI 6 skin (upgrades to Android Q and R guaranteed in the future).
The camera is a combination of a regular f/1,79 lens with a 48MP IMX586 Quad Bayer sensor and a 125-degree f/2,4 wide-angle lens with a 13MP sensor. 4K/60p video recording is supported. The flip camera block is made from Liquid Metal, which is lighter than stainless steel and 4 times stronger. The camera will automatically close if the user drops the phone, and the number of mechanics triggered is 100 times.
ASUS 6Z features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a dedicated smart key that can be customized. The back panel is covered with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass, the phone is equipped with a durable aluminum frame, slots for two SIM cards and microSD memory cards, equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0 speed charging technology (18 W charger included).
The built-in drive with a capacity of 64, 128 or 256 GB is made according to the UFS 2.1 standard. The dimensions are 159,1 Γ 75,4 Γ 9,2 mm and weigh 190 grams. There are two microphones, a 3,5 mm audio jack, stereo speakers, Dual 4G VoLTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2,4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and a USB Type-C port. An interesting feature for a flagship is the built-in FM radio.
ASUS 6Z comes in black and silver color options starting at INR 31 (~$999) for version 460/64 GB of RAM, 34 rupees (~$999) for 500/6 GB and 128 rupees (~$39) for 999/575 GB. The smartphones will go on sale on online store Flipkart starting June 8.
