ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) mobile computers have been around for 13 years and are currently the best-selling gaming laptops on the market. During the ASUS ROG RE:DEFINE 2019 special event in Istanbul in the famous Esma-Sultan mansion on the banks of the Bosphorus, the company introduced the spring family of ROG (Republic of Gamers) gaming laptops and named Russian prices for most models.
They have a high screen refresh rate (G-Sync support is also available), a high-quality cooling system (sometimes it allows you to overclock the GPU by 150 MHz), 9th generation Intel Core processors and NVIDIA Turing family video cards. When developing new models, the Taiwanese company collaborated with BMW Designworks Group.
The most interesting is, of course, ROG Mothership, previously
In addition, if you equip a laptop with components that are not inferior in performance to a modern desktop gaming system, it will no longer be comfortable to hold on your lap. ASUS engineers solved the problem with a unique format that redefines modern gaming systems. The vertical arrangement of the ROG Mothership provides improved back panel ventilation.
The keyboard can be detached and folded in half, allowing the user to occupy any comfortable position and use the device as a monoblock. Both wireless and wired interfaces are provided to connect the keyboard to the system. When the keyboard is detached, the laptop's audio system becomes clearly visible: four 4-watt front speakers located under the display and directed directly towards the user.
Due to this format, the thickness of the ROG Mothership case is only 29,9 mm, but the company has not sacrificed the performance of the components. The body of the laptop, like most of the keyboard, is made from solid billets of aluminum on a high-precision milling machine. Moreover, the company even developed a special robot that applies liquid metal when assembling the cooling system. The entire production process consists of many stages with a total duration of almost 20 hours. Such care is necessary in order to perfectly execute the smallest details.
The ROG Mothership laptop comes with a 17,3-inch display in two different configurations. In the first case, the response speed (3ms) and high refresh rate (144Hz) play a key role for the smoothest gaming experience in Full HD resolution. The second option achieves high image detail in 4K UHD resolution, but the frequency is reduced to 60 Hz. The latter option is also great for professional media work, thanks to its 100% coverage of the Adobe RGB color space.
It uses a Core i9 processor and powerful graphics from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 series (no more details yet). The cost and terms of appearance in Russian retail are also not reported yet.

As already noted, BMW Designworks Group specialists took part in the development of the concept of all these models, hence the transformational elements of their design. Also introduced was the ROG Keystone NFC keychain - a kind of ignition key that is inserted into the laptop case, providing additional options for personalization. When used, it changes the backlight and other system settings depending on the profiles set in the Armory Crate application, and also opens access to a secret disk where encrypted files are hidden.
The ROG Spring 2019 collection includes both the listed new models and the old, but still on the market, Republic of Gamers laptops - the latter will also receive ninth-generation processors.
