According to their information, the manufacturer has already notified its partners that it no longer intends to produce new products. This is unofficial data for now, but if the information is confirmed, ZenPad 8 (ZN380KNL) will become the brand’s latest model.
On the one hand, ASUS's departure from the tablet computer market is unexpected, on the other hand, it is natural. Today, this type of electronics is not as popular among buyers. The only exception is Apple's iPad. As for Android models, one of the main reasons for the decline in their sales was the increase in the diagonals of smartphone screens, which, due to the fashion for narrow frames, turned out to be more convenient to use. And in light of the emerging segment of folding gadgets with flexible displays, the prospects for tablets look even more vague.
As a result, the demand for Android tablets has finally shifted to the budget segment, which mainly uses entry-level components, including rather weak processors that limit the functionality of the devices.
