At the recent E3 games exhibition, a demo panel with ATARI VCS was presented.
ATARI VCS is a video game console developed by Atari, SA. While the Atari VCS is primarily designed to run Atari 2600 games through emulation, the console runs a Linux-based operating system that will allow users to download and install other compatible games on it.
The hardware is made on AMD Ryzen, video resolution is 4K, as well as HDR (High Dynamic Range) and 60FPS playback. The Atari VCS system, running on the Linux operating system, will also feature dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB 3.0 ports and, in addition to gaming, can also be used as a media center device.
Everyone who has invested in the console will receive it in December of this year, for everyone else it will be available in 2020.
