The author of The Last Night published a Christmas greeting on the game engine

The head of the independent studio Odd Tales and director of the cyberpunk adventure The Last Night Tim Soret (Tim Soret) published in my microblog Christmas greetings in the style of the game.

The author of The Last Night published a Christmas greeting on the game engine

The video was the result of Soret spending Christmas alone in 2019. To create a 30-second video on the The Last Night engine from the developer, according to his own confession, took "about 10 hours and 30 reshoots".

Against the background of frames with a Christmas tree in a cyberpunk entourage, the music of Marcos Ortega (Marcos Ortega), better known under the pseudonym Lorn, is heard, the composer of The Last Night.

In the comments to the post, users noted the increased quality of the game's graphics. Soret confirmed serious development progress: The Last Night has changed so much in appearance that the debut trailer already "almost deserves a re-release."

The Last Night was born from the eponymous free browser game, which the brothers Sore - Tim and Adrian - made in six days in 2014. The presentation of the full commercial version took place at Microsoft press conferences at E3 2017.

Little has been heard about the project since then, but in January 2019, Sore admitted that The Last Night was experiencing legal and financial difficulties. Because of them, in particular, the game was canceled at The Game Awards 2018.

The Last Night is a 2,5D platform game for PC (Steam, Windows 10) and Xbox One. Users will take on the role of Charlie, an underclass in an era of entertainment and widespread cybernetic enhancements.
