Moon Studios CEO and Creative Director Thomas Mahler commented on the vacancy on the ResetEra forum. βThe post says [the studio] has 'redefined' the Metroidvania genre, and I don't think that's too far-fetched. We've innovated in several areas, and platforming in Ori is definitely on a completely different level than what you see in most other metroidvanias. As for Will of the Wisps, you haven't seen anything yet," he wrote.
Later in this thread by Dancrane212 screenshots of an old Moon Studios prototype similar to Diablo, suggesting that it could be used as the basis for a new game.
However, Thomas Mahler said that the project would look very different.
