On that fateful day, Garl lost his left eye in a fight with a monster, sadly learning that ordinary people should not fight Flashmanser's minions. As punishment, his two best friends were immediately drafted to the Zenith Academy, and the hero spent the rest of his childhood away from them.
Although the only formal training he received was in the culinary arts, Garl never doubted that his powerful constitution would help him handle any situation. When problems arise, he acts like a fighter, holding the lid of his cauldron as a defense.
