The Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia) presented for financial companies, recommendations on organizing the work of employees in the context of the spread of coronavirus and quarantine measures being taken.

As published by the regulator document, in particular, recommendations are given for ensuring a number of banking operations that are not related to opening and maintaining accounts and do not affect the continuity of transactions in remote mobile access mode. In this case, the Bank of Russia recommends that financial organizations use virtual private network (VPN) and terminal access technologies, multi-factor authentication tools, organize monitoring and control of the actions of employees working remotely, and take a number of other measures.

The recommendations of the Bank of Russia also contain measures to ensure the safety of employees whose professional duties are related to ensuring the uninterrupted operation of banking systems and require presence at the IT infrastructure facilities of credit institutions.

In addition, the document developed by the regulator focuses on the need for financial organizations to use the automated incident processing system of the Center for Monitoring and Response to Computer Attacks in the Credit and Financial Sphere (ASOI FinCERT).
