The most common benefits package items around the world are health insurance, a greater degree of freedom (flexible hours, the possibility of remote work, additional days off) and various factors that contribute to the educational process.

Following the global trend, medical insurance provided by most Armenian companies. For example,

  • Insurance in Webb Fontaine includes family members.
  • Workfront provides insurance within 10 days from the date of employment.
  • renderforest clarifies that the insurance covers expenses of 1,5 million drams per year (more than $3,200).
  • Optym health insurance for employee, family members, plus accident insurance is offered.

The next item on the list is team building and various team trips and events. The number of companies in reality may be higher, many do not mention team building in the benefits package, as this is part of the corporate culture anyway.

  • For example, the EventGeek arranges international trips. Two teams work on the product - one in San Francisco, one in Yerevan, and they meet at the third point.
  • Webb Fontaine allocates a special budget for such events for each team, and the choice of activity no longer comes from top to bottom, but from the team itself.
  • RockBite Games hosts Mortal Kombat 11 tournaments.

28 out of 50 companies allocate resources to trainings and access to educational platforms.

  • Benivo provides unlimited access to PluralSight.
  • Several companies offset the cost of vocational education, Priotix compensates for the cost of education in universities.
  • Plus, 13 companies separately indicate the availability of language courses based on the office. In almost all cases, it is English.

According to Harvard Business Review, flexible schedule and the possibility of remote work are the most desired benefits. In Armenia, 10 companies work in a free schedule, 4 note the possibility of remote work. Conditions are different for each company. Some do not limit the number of days an employee can work remotely, while other companies name a specific number of days per month.

Two companies from the list Priotix ΠΈ Benivo, offer employees loans or financial services with favorable interest rates. The companies do not disclose the exact terms, but according to an engineer who worked for one of the companies, an employee can request an amount equal to 4 salaries. The loan is repaid in the form of automatic deductions from the salary (no more than 1/3), the company does not charge interest. The loan also does not affect the conditions for leaving the company. In case of dismissal, the amount will be deducted from the last check, if this is not enough, the employee has 3 more months to pay off the debt.

All bonuses and compensations are aimed at creating the most favorable conditions for the company's employees and attracting new specialists. Of the companies considered, the proposed minimum is 2 benefits from the list, the maximum is 11 points.
