Apple Powerbeats Pro wireless headphones for music and physical activity lovers

The Beats brand, owned by Apple, has announced Powerbeats Pro wireless headphones. This is the brand's first appearance on the wireless accessories market.

Powerbeats Pro offer the same capabilities as Apple's AirPods, but with a design more suitable for use during training or sports.

Powerbeats Pro attach to your ear using a hook, so you can use them during intense workouts without fear of losing them. In addition to being designed for an active lifestyle, Powerbeats Pro are water- and sweat-resistant, as well as being highly durable to withstand a variety of conditions. It's also smaller and lighter than its predecessor - Beats says it's "23% smaller than its predecessor and 17% lighter."

Powerbeats Pro don't have a power button. The headphones turn on when removed from the case and turn off (and charge) when placed inside it. Motion sensors detect when the headphones are in standby mode and not in use, automatically putting them into sleep mode.

Powerbeats Pro also have the power and intelligence of the new AirPods, thanks to Apple's H1 chip, which delivers reliable wireless connectivity and Hey Siri voice control.

Just like AirPods or Powerbeats3, Powerbeats Pro instantly connects to your iPhone and syncs with iCloud-connected devices, including iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, without pairing each device. You can also manually connect to an Android device.

We add that Powerbeats Pro have improved sound quality, which means “incredibly low distortion and high dynamic range.”

Powerbeats Pro come in several color options - black, dark blue, olive and ivory. The headphones are designed to accommodate a variety of ear shapes and be used in high-activity environments with “four ear tip sizes and a redesigned adjustable ear hook.”

In terms of battery life without recharging, the new model is 4 hours better than AirPods, providing “up to 9 hours of listening and more than 24 hours of combined use with the case.”

Thanks to Fast Fuel charging, in just 5 minutes the headphones can be charged for 1,5 hours of use, and charging for 15 minutes will allow them to be used for 4,5 hours.

Powerbeats Pro will be available in May on Apple.com and Apple Stores for $249,95. Beats said Powerbeats Pro will debut in the US and 20 other countries, with more countries and regions to follow later this summer and fall.
