Bethesda: Starfield received an age rating by mistake - the game is not yet complete

This morning, rumors began to circulate on the Web that the development of the space RPG Starfield from Bethesda Game Studios has come to an end and the game will soon appear on store shelves. Users made such a conclusion based on the assignment of an age rating from the German organization USK (Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle) to the project. However, the fans did not have time to rejoice, as Bethesda denied the information about the readiness of Starfield.

As reported edition DSOGaming Citing a source, user Skullzi wrote, "Yeah, it would be nice to get an official comment on the current [age rating] situation before the community goes crazy." Pete Hines, senior vice president of marketing and communications at Bethesda Softworks, replied: β€œI didn't know, but it's just a glitch or a mistake on the site. I will ask them [USK] to look into the problem and fix it, thanks for the warning."

Bethesda fans have been excited about the age ratings for good reason: USK typically only considers games that are about to go on sale.

Recall that recently the developers updated Starfield website, after which the logos of PEGI and ESRB rating agencies appeared on its pages. And the materials on the game, except teaser since E3 2018, never did.
