Beeline will allow you to independently register new SIM-cards

VimpelCom (Beeline brand) next month will offer Russian subscribers a new service - self-registration of SIM-cards.

It is reported that the new service is implemented on the basis of specially developed software. Initially, subscribers will be able to independently register only SIM-cards purchased in Beeline's own stores and dealers' stores.

The registration procedure is as follows. First, the user will need to send a passport photo and a real-time face photo. Next, on the smartphone screen, you will need to sign a contract for communication services.

After performing these operations, the software will recognize documents and compare the photo from the passport with the photo taken during registration. The information will be entered into the operator's systems, and after checking the data, the SIM card will be unlocked automatically.

Self-identification of the client is based on the operator's mobile application. In order to use the new service, subscribers will only need to insert a new SIM card into their smartphone. After that, a link to a personal page with registration will come automatically.

“In the future, the use of self-registration will increase the number of distribution channels and expand the geography of places for concluding contracts for the provision of communication services,” Beeline notes.

Initially, the service will be available in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Then, probably, it will spread to other Russian cities.
