Acer has introduced the TravelMate P6 laptop, designed specifically for business users who often travel or work away from the office.
The laptop (model P614-51) is equipped with a 14-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, which corresponds to the Full HD format. With a 180-degree display, it's easy to place it horizontally for easy sharing.
The body of the novelty is made of aluminum-magnesium alloy. The device complies with military standards MIL-STD 810G and 810F, which means increased durability and reliability. Tests, for example, include 26 drops from a height of 1,22 m on various parts of the laptop case and landing on plywood 5 cm thick placed on concrete.
The laptop comes with an 7th Gen Intel Core i4 processor, up to 24GB DDR250 RAM, optional NVIDIA GeForce MX3 discrete graphics, and a fast PCIe Gen 4 x1 NVMe SSD up to XNUMXTB.
The thickness of the device is 16,6 mm, and the weight is 1,1 kg. At the same time, battery life reaches 20 hours. It only takes 50 minutes to charge a laptop to 45 percent.
The operating system used is Windows 10 Pro. Users can log in using the Windows Hello app and a fingerprint scanner in the power button or through an IR camera with biometric facial recognition. The integrated Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 chip provides hardware protection for passwords and encryption keys.
The computer supports 4G / LTE networks, so that owners can access the Internet anywhere where there is cellular network coverage.
The novelty will go on sale in June. The cost in Russia will be announced additionally.
