With the release of build 0.9, levels set in the frontier world of Zen are out of "beta": "You can now play a polished and tested version of the entire Black Mesa without having to switch to public testing."

In the update, the developers have adjusted the difficulty, fixed bugs and improved performance in the last chapters of the game. A complete list of changes is available at ad page.

Despite all of the above, Black Mesa will remain in Steam Early Access for the time being. The authors explain their decision by the desire to collect more information about possible errors and focus on their elimination.

“We will be watching how people play and listening to suggestions to improve [Black Mesa] so that the next big update takes us out of Early Access,” Crowbar Collective explained.

Before the release version is released, the developers want to add achievements for levels in the world of Zen, provide multiplayer functionality and the Steam Workshop, and debug the artificial intelligence of enemies.

The commercial version of Black Mesa appeared on the shelves of Valve's digital store in 2015. During the Steam Winter Sale, the game is 20% off - until January 2, the shooter can be purchased 335 for rubles.
