It is expected that this service will be launched in poor countries, where paid music services are not yet popular. At the same time, the application, which is still unnamed, will not completely copy Spotify or Apple Music. ByteDance reportedly already has rights to major Indian labels T-Series and Times Music.

A TechCrunch clarifiesthat the app will receive free and paid versions and indicates a launch date as early as July. It is assumed that the application is focused on India. At the same time, ByteDance declined to comment, so it is difficult to say how true the media data is. At the same time, it is not clear what platforms the system will be designed for, what the monetization scheme will look like, and so on.

It should be noted that the current boom in music streaming services has not bypassed Russia. On VKontakte, сообщалось earlier, they are preparing their own analogue of TikTok. In general, the service will be similar to the Chinese original, but there will also be differences and new features.

As expected, the version of "TikTok" for VK will appear in the summer as a separate application. Although it is not yet clear how the project will be perceived by users. After all, the Chinese social network was criticized by many, mainly for the abundance of low-quality videos with a poor sound range.
