Studio Bluepoint Games, known for the remasters of Shadow of the Colossus and the Uncharted trilogy, has been working on a secret project for almost a year. Back in July 2018, the authors opened vacancies to work on some kind of “classic project”. And recently, representatives of the company slightly opened the veil of secrecy.
Bluepoint Games CTO Peter Dalton said, “For us, Shadow of the Colossus is a complete remake due to the complex development of the project, it's not a remaster. The company's next game is a reimagining, because it goes beyond what we did in the previous project."
Users speculate that Bluepoint is working on a Demon's Souls remake. The studio has already partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment twice. And there are not so many classic exclusive projects that would arouse public interest. The creation of FromSoftware fits perfectly into this concept. The creator of the game Hidetaka Miyazaki (Hidetaka Miyazaki) said that a remake is quite possible, but another studio should take over its production. Japanese developers do not want to return to their old works. In any case, the rights to Demon's Souls remained with Sony, and therefore it is up to her to decide the fate of the project.
