During the Fight or Fright seasonal event, players will be able to complete a ton of exclusive challenges with free rewards and all sorts of Halloween-themed cosmetics (24 in total), including two Legendary weapon skins. The main innovation is a special temporary mode “Shadow Time”.
The mode description reads: “Darkness descends on Kings Canyon as the Time of Shadows begins—a twisted version of the Apex Games, orchestrated by a mysterious figure. At the start of the match, 35 solo players drop into the eeriely lit Kings Canyon and fight to the death... with one small condition. Having died, the player is reborn into the ranks of a powerful army of the dead, called the Shadow Squad.
By joining the Shadow Squad, the player loses the ability to use the weapons and skills of his legend, but in return gains the ability to move and jump faster, as well as deliver powerful melee attacks. In addition, you can climb walls and be reborn an unlimited number of times by re-landing. The battle will continue until there are ten living legends left, who will then have to join forces and get to the rescue ship. Meanwhile, the Shadow Squad will have to prevent their escape at all costs."
