As you can see, not only was the graphics fundamentally improved thanks to the use of the Mafia 3 engine by the developers, new models, textures, effects and lighting. Everything has been redesigned from scratch: in most scenes, the direction and framing of the camera has changed, other scenes have completely changed fundamentally. The voice acting has also changed.
The developers promise that players will get the Mafia that they remember and love, but in a modern performance and with an original soundtrack. In addition to visual changes, Mafia: Definitive Edition will bring an extended story and features. Lost Haven will get bigger, motorcycles will appear as a new type of vehicle, collectibles will be added and much more.
Recall: the action of Mafia takes place in the 1930s in Illinois, between the two World Wars. The player will have to build a career as a mafia during Prohibition: after a chance meeting with the mafia, taxi driver Tommy Angelo gets into the world of organized crime. At first he is wary of the Salieri family, but big money changes his attitude.
Mafia: Definitive Edition is scheduled to launch on August 28 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On the game page on Steam, Russian localization is promised only in the form of subtitles and an interface.
