Firefox Reality VR Browser Now Available to Oculus Quest Headset Users

Mozilla's VR web browser gets support for Facebook's Oculus Quest headsets. Previously, the browser was available to owners of devices HTC Vive Focus Plus, Lenovo Mirage, and others. However, the Oculus Quest headset does not have wires that literally “tether” the user to the PC, which allows you to browse the web in a new way.

Firefox Reality VR is taking advantage of the increased performance and power of Oculus Quest to deliver a better VR web browsing experience, according to a developer announcement.

VR browsers use web technology that is adapted to the VR space. This allows developers to create virtual XNUMXD spaces spanning multiple VR devices. Owners of the standalone headset from Facebook will be able to interact with websites, watch videos and immerse themselves in virtual reality through a browser that, among other things, has tracking protection turned on by default, which increases the level of privacy when interacting with content.

The Firefox Reality browser currently supports 10 languages, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Later, the developers plan to integrate support for more languages.

This is not to say that the appearance of the Mozilla browser in Oculus Quest is something revolutionary, since before users had a standard browser from the manufacturer. However, owners of one of the most popular devices on the VR headset market now have an alternative browser that is likely to have a lot of fans.
