Quietly and imperceptibly, after 3,5 years of development, the first major release of Buttplug took place - a comprehensive solution for developing software in the field of remote control of intimate devices with support for various methods of connecting to them: Bluetooth, USB and serial ports using the programming languages Rust, C # , JavaScript and TypeScript.
Starting with this release, the C# and JavaScript implementations of Buttplug are dropped in favor of their respective libraries, which interact with the only remaining Rust implementation via FFI, allowing development of libraries for Python, C++, JVM-based languages, and Unreal Engine.
Buttplug supports control from keyboards, joysticks and virtual reality controllers, as well as synchronization with movies through plugins for VLC and Kodi.
