Two former Apple specialists, according to the Financial Times, expect to announce a βrevolutionaryβ audio system that has no analogues on the commercial market this year.
The device is being developed by the startup Syng, founded by former employees of the Apple empire - designer Christopher Stringer and engineer Afrooz Family. Both of them took part in the creation of the Apple HomePod smart speaker.
The startup Syng is reportedly designing an audio system called Cell. In terms of its capabilities and characteristics, it will allegedly surpass both the mentioned HomePod smart speaker and Sonos devices.
It is alleged that the novelty will be able to form a high-quality audio picture with an immersive effect, indistinguishable from real sound. However, there is currently no information about the technical features of the upcoming system.
The official presentation of Cell is expected in the fourth quarter of this year. However, the timing of the product's release to the market may be affected by the pandemic and the general unstable economic situation.
