At the Game Developers Conference 2019, CCP Games and British startup Hadean hosted a tech demo of EVE: Aether Wars featuring over 14 ships.
EVE: Aether Wars is a major achievement by Hadean and CCP Games in researching the possibilities of creating massive multiplayer simulations for future projects. The fight was launched on the world's first cloud simulation engine Aether Engine using the capabilities of the Microsoft Azure platform. 3852 players battled each other live for an hour. At the same time, there were ships under computer control - the total number of vehicles was 14274. At the same time, 10412 ships participated in the battle, and 88988 were destroyed.

However, this time it was not possible to break the Guinness World Record for the largest number of players involved in a PvP battle. It is also owned by EVE Online - on January 23, 2018, there were 6142 people registered in one battle.
