CD Projekt RED has no plans to release Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales sequel

One of the users asked about the possibility of a sequel to Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, to which Pavel Burza firmly and succinctly answered: β€œNo.” Apparently, CD Projekt RED does not plan to return to the card branch of the series due to low sales of the project, as the Polish studio says. Reported back in November 2018.

The Witcher Tales was originally conceived as a single-player campaign for the Gwent card game. However, during the development process, the project grew greatly and was released separately.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales was released on October 23, 2018 on PC, and on December 4 of the same year it appeared on PS4 and Xbox One. On Metacritic (PC version) the project has 85 points out of 100 after 51 reviews. Users rated 7,9 points out of 10, 496 people voted.
