Intel Corporation showed at the CES 2020 exhibition, which is currently taking place in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), a prototype of an unusual computer codenamed Horseshoe Bend.
The device shown is a large tablet equipped with a 17-inch flexible display. The gadget is well suited for watching videos, working with applications in full screen mode, etc.
If necessary, the device can be bent in half, turning it into a kind of laptop with a display of approximately 13 inches. In this mode, the lower part of the screen can be used to display controls, a virtual keyboard, any auxiliary elements, etc.
Almost nothing is known about the technical characteristics of the tablet. It is only reported that it will probably be based on a 9-watt Intel Tiger Lake processor. In addition, it is said about the fanless design.
Observers note that the displayed example of Horseshoe Bend looked "damp". This means that work on the device is still ongoing.
There is no word on when the flexible tablet might hit the commercial market.
