CES 2020: Lenovo Legion BoostStation eGPU - graphics card box up to 300mm long

Lenovo has introduced its own external box for the video card. The novelty, called the Legion BoostStation eGPU, is being shown in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) at CES 2020.

The device, made of aluminum, has dimensions of 365 Γ— 172 Γ— 212 mm. Any modern two-slot video adapter up to 300 mm long can fit inside.

Moreover, one 2,5/3,5-inch SATA drive and two M.2 PCIe SSD modules can be additionally installed in the box. Thus, the novelty will also turn into an external storage device, and not just an external video card.

The Thunderbolt 3 interface is used to connect to a computer. In addition, the device has an Ethernet network connector, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one USB 2.0 port and an HDMI connector.

The built-in 500W power supply is responsible for the power supply. The product weighs approximately 8,5 kg.

The Legion BoostStation eGPU will go on sale in May for an estimated price of $250.
