In addition, the developers have reached their intended goal on Kickstarter. $100 thousand collected, and there are still 20 days left to receive a larger amount. You can still donate $2 or more to support The Farm 51 and $30 or more to get a copy of Chernobylite on Steam, complete with a digital artbook, exclusive demo and wallpapers.

Chernobylite is a sci-fi single player game that combines free-roaming exploration with item crafting, tough combat, and a non-linear story. The action takes place in 2016. 30 years have passed since the tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which changed the lives of 350 people forever. Even after all these years, the main character is tormented by the demons of the past - he lost the most precious thing, his girlfriend. The protagonist returns to the exclusion zone to find her. All traces lead to the fact that Tanya is there, in the most dangerous place on Earth.

In the exclusion zone, you will have partners for whom you are responsible. Your decisions can lead to their death on a sortie. To prevent this from happening, you need to play carefully, and not rush headlong through dangerous terrain. During attacks, you can find many useful items that will come in handy when arranging the base. Every night you return to your home and you can upgrade your home - upgrade workbenches to create items, build a comfortable bed to increase the morale of your teammates, or a small field hospital that will give you a second chance when things get ugly.

As for the non-linear plot, in Chernobylite every character can die, and every mission can be failed. The narrative is formed by the player himself, his skills and decisions that lead to various consequences and influence the outcome of the story.

Chernobylite will release on PC in November 2019 via Steam Early Access. The full version should be released in the second half of 2020. The developers are also planning a console release - the project is being created taking into account the relevant features of the interface and other elements - but are not yet ready to give even an approximate release date.
