Huawei Vice President Zhu Ping said that last year the company sold more than 200 million “smart” cellular devices. These data are confirmed by IDC statistics, according to which in 2018, shipments of Huawei smartphones amounted to 206 million units (14,7% of the global market).

This year, Huawei has set itself a goal of selling more than 250 million smartphones (including the Honor brand). If the company manages to reach this level, the growth in shipments compared to last year will be about 25%.

Quarter Billion: Huawei's 2019 Smartphone Sales Goal

It was said that in China in 2018, one out of every three smartphones sold was from the Huawei/Honor family. This year, Huawei expects to occupy half of the market for “smart” cellular devices in China.

It should be noted that Huawei smartphones are very popular in our country. For example, the Honor brand has already taken first place in the Russian smartphone market, ahead of Samsung. And in 2020, Huawei expects to become a leader in the global smartphone market.
