Unisoc (formerly Spreadtrum) has introduced a new processor for mobile devices: the product has received the designation Tiger T310.

It is known that the chip includes four computing cores in the dynamIQ configuration. This is one productive ARM Cortex-A75 core clocked at up to 2,0 GHz and three power-efficient ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 1,8 GHz.

The graphics node configuration is not disclosed. It is reported that the solution provides support for dual and triple cameras.

The processor is designed for inexpensive 4G smartphones. Declared the ability to work in cellular networks TDD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, CDMA and GSM.

The chip will be manufactured at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) using 12nm technology. The product is claimed to deliver 20 percent energy savings over eight-core mainstream processors.

Devices based on the Unisoc Tiger T310 platform will be able to support user face recognition.

The timing of the appearance of the first smartphones based on the new processor on the commercial market is not reported.
