The key feature of the new products is the ScreenPad 2.0 touch panel, which is essentially a 5,65-inch IPS touchscreen display. It's a performance-enhanced version of last year's ScreenPad, which originally appeared in more advanced ZenBooks. Now ASUS has given this feature to mainstream laptops. On the ScreenPad 2.0 panel, you can launch various applications, such as a calculator, a music or video player, display a numeric keypad, etc. In general, there are quite a few use cases here.

Notebooks VivoBook S14 (S432) and S15 (S532), respectively, are equipped with 14- and 15,6-inch displays based on IPS panels with a resolution of Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels). The novelties are based on four-core Intel processors of the Whiskey Lake generation: Core i5-8265U or Core i7-8565U, depending on the configuration. For graphics processing, either the integrated Intel HD 620 GPU or the entry-level discrete graphics card NVIDIA GeForce MX250 can be responsible.

New versions of VivoBook will be able to offer from 8 to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM with a frequency of 2133 or 2400 MHz. For data storage, solid-state drives with a PCIe interface are provided with a volume from 256 GB to 1 TB. For battery life in both the VivoBook S14 and VivoBook S15, a 42 Wh lithium-polymer battery with support for fast charging (60% in 49 minutes) is responsible. We also note that both laptops are made in metal cases with a thickness of only 18 mm, and new items weigh 1,4 and 1,8 kg, respectively.
