ASUS introduced a very interesting novelty at the Computex 2019 IT exhibition - the ROG Strix XG17 portable monitor, designed for gamers.
The device is made on an IPS matrix measuring 17,3 inches diagonally. A panel with a resolution of 1920 Γ 1080 pixels is used, which corresponds to the Full HD format.
The ROG Strix XG17 is claimed to be the world's first portable monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate. The response time is 3ms.
The novelty is endowed with built-in stereo speakers. A special protective cover with a magnetic fastening acts as a stand.
The monitor is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery, the charge of which is enough for three hours of battery life. Quick Charge 3.0 is supported.
The ROG Strix XG17 has a micro HDMI interface and a symmetrical USB Type-C port.
In addition, at Computex 2019, ASUS is demonstrating the ZenScreen Touch portable monitor with touch support. This device measures 15,6 inches diagonally. A rechargeable battery with a capacity of 7800 mAh is provided. The USB Type-C port is mentioned.
