A new version of the actively sawed fork of the XMPP client has been quietly and quietly released Conversations – Conversations Classic.
Changes from previous version
- Synchronization with the upstream project has been completed (except for the new UI).
- The application settings have been redesigned and structured.
- Added the ability to set wallpaper both for each chat and globally
- Made multiple improvements related to message replies (XEP-0461).
- Added the “notifications throttling” function – in order not to receive more than 1 notification every N time.
- Added a slider for navigation between open chats and all contacts (optional).
- Added avatar display setting - now you can choose between square, rounded and oval avatars. Let's put an end to the war between different markers!
- Work has begun on the return of OTR (Off-the-Record Encryption) in the form of “Secret Chats” with a separate story.
- Now, when working with attachments, their original names are used, rather than a randomly generated hash.
- Now, by long tapping on the attachment, you can save the file to Downloads.
- It is now possible to send a picture without compression by choosing to send a file rather than a picture (as is done in Telegram).
Improvements to group chats (MUC)
- Added quick access to the list of participants.
- Added display of the MUC (subject) header as a pinned message, with the ability to hide it.
- Fixed display of nicknames of those participants who are on the roster.
- Added display of the participant's name in replies to messages.
