A sample of such a robot is currently being tested at the Obeta warehouse on the outskirts of Berlin (Germany).

Using three suction cups at the end of a long "arm", the robot sorts items with high speed and precision. Previously, this work was only possible for people. Currently available warehouse robots are not up to the task of sorting various items - from clothes and shoes to electronic equipment - so that each item can be packaged and shipped to customers.

β€œI have worked in the logistics industry for over 16 years and have never seen anything like it,” said Peter Puchwein, vice president of Austrian warehouse automation technology company Knapp.
