Cyberpunk 2077 will receive at least two story additions - both will be announced before the game's release

Портал Video Games Chronicle (VGC) reported that during a call with investors today, CD Projekt President Adam Kicinski shared details about upcoming additions to Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 will receive at least two story additions - both will be announced before the game's release

The fact that CD Projekt RED has plans for DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 has been known since June 2019 of the year. It was then said that the extensions would be comparable to additions to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As it turns out, this is not all that the post-release content of the two games has in common.

According to Kiciński, Cyberpunk 2077 will have “no fewer additions than The Witcher 3.” We are talking specifically about plot additions, of which the third part of Geralt’s video game adventures had two - “Hearts of stone" and "Blood and wine».

Like when with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will announce additions to Cyberpunk 2077 shortly before the release of the game itself, and will share details several weeks before the release of each.

In addition to two major story add-ons, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received two small free DLCs every week for two months after the premiere. Whether CD Projekt RED will take the same approach for Cyberpunk 2077 is not specified.

Cyberpunk 2077 level designer Max Pears in September interview with VGC stated that thanks to the experience of post-release content of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the studio “learned a lot” and is ready to apply its knowledge to benefit the new game.

The single-player campaign for Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be released on September 17 this year on PC, PS4, Xbox One and GeForce Now. Within new financial report Kiciński confirmed that the studio intends to meet the deadline despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
