The German Association for the Games Industry and the Koelnmesse Exhibition Center have announced that gamescom 2020 will be held entirely digitally from 27 to 30 August. The event will replace a physical event that was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The show will offer gaming news, Opening Night Live, and the Devcom Digital Conference.
gamescom Now is a content repository that launched last year. It will be expanded as part of gamescom 2020. It is the primary source for all news and announcements that will be made at the show, as well as a collection of user-generated content and cosplay. All gamescom events such as Opening Night Live will also be available on gamescom Now.
By the way, the Opening Night Live show was previously scheduled to be held on August 24, but now it will be held on August 27. Its host is still Geoff Keighley. The event will feature both new and well-known games from independent developers.
