Notable insiders и via Twitter shared the results of tests of an overclocked sample of the budget AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor. Performance was tested in synthetic tests Geekbench 4, Geekbench 5, 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme and 3DMark Time Spy.
The $99 Matisse family processor has already managed to surprise us earlier in the confrontation with the once flagship , and then with a more recent chip . Now the quad-core processor has been seriously overclocked. Recall that the base frequency of the Ryzen 3 3100 is 3,6 GHz, and the automatic overclocking system can increase it to 3,9 GHz.
To test the performance of the Ryzen 3 3100 in Geekbench 4.4, the frequency of all processor cores was raised to 4,2 GHz. As a result, the crystal was able to score 5470 points in single-core and 20 points in multi-core tests. For measurements in 100DMark Fire Strike Extreme and Time Spy, the core frequency was raised to 3 GHz. Thanks to this, the processor was able to show 4,5 points in the Fire Strike physics test and 15 points in Time Spy.
Before checking in Geekbench 5, all cores of the budget processor were overclocked to 4,6 GHz. As a result, the novelty scored 1325 points in single-core and 5669 points in multi-core tests.
For comparison, in the same test, the non-overclocked Ryzen 3 3100 recently scored 1095 and 4507 respectively.
