Studio Eugen Systems on the official Steam forum made concerning the military strategy of Steel Division 2. This is the first independent project of the company, and the developers want to eliminate all the shortcomings before the release. That is why the release date of the game has been postponed for the second time. Initially, the authors planned to release the project on April 4, then on May 2, and now the release is scheduled for June 20.
Eugen Systems claims that this is the last port of Steel Division 2. The reasons for this decision, the official statement says: “Army General, single player campaign mode, is a completely new game in the game, and it will not be polished enough for a release on May 2nd. This new mode has changed a lot during the development process and has become a more immersive and interesting single player experience. In the near future (before the end of April), we will release a developer diary and videos in which we will explain how exactly the turn-based strategic mode of the project 1: 1 will be used in the release.
The authors stated that the tactical part is already ready. From May 29 until the release, the developers will conduct beta testing, and now its next stage is underway (it will last until April 23). Owners of the Deluxe version will have access to Steel Division 2 two days earlier.
