Huawei 8K TV with AI features expected to debut in September

A new piece of information has appeared on the Internet about the possible entry of the Chinese telecommunications company Huawei into the smart TV market.

On rumors, Huawei will initially offer smart panels with a diagonal of 55 and 65 inches. The Chinese company BOE Technology will allegedly supply displays for the first model, and Huaxing Optoelectronics (a subsidiary of BOE) for the second.

As noted, the younger of the two named panels may debut in the very near future, and the older one will most likely be presented in August.

According to web sources, Huawei has scheduled the announcement of a high-end smart TV for September. This device will comply with the 8K format (7680 × 4320 pixels) and will support advanced artificial intelligence (AI) functions. Samsung may manufacture displays for such TVs.

Moreover, if you believe available information, Huawei TVs with support for fifth generation mobile communications (5G) are in development. The presentation of such devices is expected in the fourth quarter of this year.

Huawei itself does not comment on this information. But it should be noted that the company is now actively developing the smartphone business, so the announcement of “smart” TVs could be a completely logical step to expand the consumer business.
