Just yesterday, quietly and imperceptibly, a new release of the Deepin distribution kit, developed on the basis of Debian and using the DE of the same name, saw the light. This release is based on the Debian 10.5 codebase.

Significant:

• Submitted by new environment design, including new icons, smooth animations, rounded corners, and task overview screen.

• New design installer. Also available is the ability to install a proprietary driver for Nvidia video cards right during the installation of the OS and two disk partitioning modes: fully manual and automatic with full encryption of all partitions.

• Improved support for fingerprint recognition. Now you can log in and even get superuser privileges by fingerprint.

• To the application manager added packet filtering and one-click updates.

• You can choose the kernel during installation: 5.4 LTS or stable 5.7.

• And much more, in particular, fixes for unreasonably high CPU usage when watching videos or pictures.
