Dell has unveiled the entry-level Precision 3540 and Precision 3541 mobile workstations, which are available to order now for an estimated price of $800.
Notebooks are equipped with a display measuring 15,6 inches diagonally. At the same time, buyers will be able to choose between versions with HD resolution (1366 × 768 pixels) and Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels).
The Precision 3540 model in the maximum configuration carries an Intel Core i7-8665U Whiskey Lake processor and an AMD Radeon Pro WX 2100 graphics accelerator with 2 GB of memory. You can use up to 32 GB of RAM (2400 MHz) and a hard disk or solid state drive with a capacity of up to 2 TB.
A more powerful modification of the Precision 3541 can be equipped with an Intel Core i9-9880H chip of the Coffee Lake or Xeon E-2276M series. As part of the graphics subsystem used accelerator NVIDIA Quadro P620 with 4 GB of memory. The computer can carry up to 32 GB of RAM (2666 MHz), a 2 TB hard drive and an M.2 PCIe SSD of the same capacity.
Mobile workstations are equipped with a gigabit Ethernet controller, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5 wireless adapters, Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1, HDMI ports, etc.
The software platform can be Windows, Ubuntu or Red Hat Linux.
